Zeldan 250 SC is a broad-spectrum, systemic, and curative fungicide widely used to protect edible crops and ornamentals.
It features the active ingredient Azoxystrobin 250 g/L, which targets diseases like powdery mildew, botrytis, rust, and downy mildew.
Active Ingredient: Azoxystrobin 250 g/L
Formulation: Suspension Concentrate (SC)
Mode of Action: Systemic and translaminar action—it is rapidly absorbed by foliage and translocated through the plant to protect both existing growth and new shoots. It works by inhibiting the respiration of fungi, stopping spore germination and mycelial growth.
Application Guide
- Target Crops: Edible crops (such as tomatoes, beans, peas) and ornamentals (such as roses).
- Application Rate: Typical application for azoxystrobin fungicides is 10 ml / 20 L of water, or roughly 500 ml / ha.
- Timing: Apply when weather conditions favor disease development or at the very first signs of symptoms.
- Interval: Spray every 10–14 days, making no more than 3 applications per season to prevent resistance.
- Pre-Harvest Interval (PHI): Always check the product label, as edible crops typically have a waiting period of 4–14 days between spraying and harvest.
Benefits:
Preventive & Curative Action: It stops fungal spores from germinating and halts the growth of existing fungi, eliminating diseases early on to protect crop quality and yield.
Translaminar Movement: The active ingredient can move from the upper surface of the leaf to the lower surface, providing thorough protection even where the spray doesn't directly reach.
Extended Protection: It guards crops over time, often reducing the frequency of required spray applications.
Broad Crop Utility: It can be safely and effectively used on a wide variety of plants, including vegetables (e.g., tomatoes, French beans), flowers (e.g., roses, carnations), and fruit trees
