Twiga Penstrep is a broad-spectrum, injectable antibiotic suspension designed for livestock, particularly cattle, calves, goats, sheep, and swine. It combines penicillin and dihydrostreptomycin to provide a synergistic effect against various bacterial infections
Composition:
Each 1 mL of Twiga Penstrep contains:
Procaine penicillin G:200mg
Dihydrostreptomycin sulphate: 250mg
Indications:
Twiga Penstrep treats infections caused by bacteria sensitive to its ingredients, such as Campylobacter, Clostridium, E. coli, Salmonella, and Staphylococcus. It is effective against conditions including:
- Respiratory infections (pneumonia)
- Gastrointestinal infections
- Mastitis
- Arthritis and urinary infections
Dosage and Administration
Administer via deep intramuscular injection, ensuring the product is shaken well before use.
- Cattle: 1ml per 25Kg body weight for 3 days.
- Calves, Sheep, Goats, Swine: 1 ml per 10Kg body weight for 3 days.
Withdrawal Periods
- Meat: 21 days
- Milk: 3 days
