Mode of Action
Acephate works by blocking an enzyme in the nervous system that acts as a stop switch for a nerve signal. When the enzyme is blocked, the nervous system fails and eventually kills the insect.
Application Guide
Sinophate® 75% SP can be applied as a foliar and stem spray and/or as a soil drench. Adequate coverage of the crop foliage while spraying should be ensured for excellent results.
Apply Sinophate® 75% SP when pest population reaches economic (damaging) threshold and repeat as necessary to maintain control.
To control thrips, African bollworm on Roses, apply 1.5 g per litre of water as a full cover spray when pest population reaches economic (damaging) threshold and repeat as necessary to maintain control on 10-15 days interval.
To control African bollworm, Leafminers, Green aphid, and boll worm on tobacco, apply 2 g per litre of water as a full cover spray. Where a heavy infestation occurs, a second application is recommended 7 days later. Repeat, if necessary, every 7 days.
To control Thrips on Tomato and Chilli, apply 1 g per litre of water as a full cover spray and ensure thorough coverage of plants.
Where a heavy infestation occurs, a second application is recommended 7 to 10 days after first application to obtain good initial control. If necessary, repeat application every 7 to 10 days.
