Pioneer P3812 - 2Kg

Pioneer P3812 is a medium-maturing (125-135 days) high-yield white maize hybrid popular in high-altitude, high-rainfall regions (1,200-2,000m). 

It produces large, often double-cobbed, flint-to-semi-flint grain with high tolerance to diseases like MLND and rust, though it requires good management to manage potential lodging. 

Key Features and Performance:

• Yield Potential: High, with potential for 35-40 bags per acre (90kg bags) or up to 12mt/ha under good management.
• Characteristics: Large, stubby cobs (14-16+ rows), fast maturity, and good husk cover to protect against ear rot.
• Growing Conditions:Suitable for altitudes of 1,200-2,000m and areas with 600-1,000mm rainfall.
• Management: While it has good standing power, it can sometimes be prone to lodging, so strong crop management is recommended.
• Disease Resistance: High, with strong resistance to Maize Lethal Necrosis Disease (MLND), Turcicum leaf blight, and rust.
