Oxyvet 10% is a broad spectrum antibiotic for the treatment of infections caused by micro-organisms susceptible to oxytetracycline

Indications :

• Species: Cattle, camels, sheep, goats, pigs, dogs, and cats.
• Treats: Respiratory infections, gastro-enteritis, foot rot, mastitis, metritis, and joint infections.
• Action: It acts by disrupting bacterial protein synthesis, providing peak plasma absorption within 2 to 6 hours.

Dosage & Administration

• General Dose: Typically 1 ml per 10 kg to 20 kg of body weight, depending on the severity of the infection and the target species.
• Route: Administered via Deep Intramuscular (IM) or Subcutaneous (SC) injection.
• Frequency: The dosage is usually repeated every 24 hours for 3 to 5 days

Withdrawal Periods

If you are treating animals for food production, you must observe these standard withdrawal times before slaughter or marketing milk to avoid antibiotic residues:

• Meat: 12 to 14 days.
• Milk: 4 to 5 days

Precautions

• Sensitivity: Do not use on horses, foals, or animals known to have hypersensitivity to tetracyclines.
• Storage: Store in a dark, cool place, and discard the contents within 28 days after the first opening
