Oxyvet 10% is a broad spectrum antibiotic for the treatment of infections caused by micro-organisms susceptible to oxytetracycline
Indications :
- Species: Cattle, camels, sheep, goats, pigs, dogs, and cats.
- Treats: Respiratory infections, gastro-enteritis, foot rot, mastitis, metritis, and joint infections.
- Action: It acts by disrupting bacterial protein synthesis, providing peak plasma absorption within 2 to 6 hours.

- Frequency: The dosage is usually repeated every 24 hours for 3 to 5 days
Withdrawal Periods
If you are treating animals for food production, you must observe these standard withdrawal times before slaughter or marketing milk to avoid antibiotic residues:
- Meat: 12 to 14 days.
- Milk: 4 to 5 days
Precautions
- Sensitivity: Do not use on horses, foals, or animals known to have hypersensitivity to tetracyclines.
- Storage: Store in a dark, cool place, and discard the contents within 28 days after the first opening
