LIFELINE Herbicide is a non-selective, post-emergent herbicide that provides broad-spectrum weed control of some of the most challenging weeds, including glyphosate-resistant marestail, hairy fleabane, malva and filaree. Using a unique mode of action, Lifeline inhibits glutamine production in the weeds which leads to a breakdown in photosynthesis.
This makes LIFELINE an excellent choice when developing your overall weed resistance management strategy.
Active Ingredient: \(24.5\%\) Glufosinate-ammonium (\(280 \text{g/L}\) or \(\approx 2.34 \text{ lb/gal}\)).
Benefits:
Target Weeds: Effective against hard-to-control weeds, including glyphosate-resistant marestail, hairy fleabane, malva, and filaree.
Mode of Action: Unlike systemic glyphosate, Lifeline is a contact herbicide (partly systemic) that causes rapid desiccation (browning) of plants.
Application Flexibility: Used for burndown, orchard floor management, and as over-the-top application in glufosinate-resistant (e.g., LibertyLink) crops like soybeans and corn.
Ideal for Resistance Management: Excellent tool for rotating away from glyphosate
Safety and Precautions:
- Safety: Avoid contact with eyes and skin; use full protective clothing.
- Drift Warning: Contact with green parts of plants other than mature brown bark can cause serious damage.
- Storage: Store in a locked, cool, and dry place
Application Timing: Best applied on small weeds, particularly between 10:00 a.m. and 3:30 p.m. when the soil is moist and there is no dew.
Direction of Use:
Cassava- When leaves are 4-6 leaf stage.
Cotton- Apply prior to crop emergence.
