Last Call TA is an insect attractant and toxicant gel used to manage pests like the Macadamia Nut Borer (MNB).
Application: It is a small pack that requires removing a lid, cutting the top of the tube, and applying small drops of the gel onto plants.Applied in small, precise droplets (~50 μL) at a rate of 100–200 g per hectare, usually with a hand applicator.
Target Pest: Tuta absoluta (Tomato Leaf Miner).
Method: It is not a spray; it is applied in beads (150–300 mm from the ground, where the stalk splits) and remains effective for up to 28 days.
Active Ingredient: Permethrin.
Mechanism: It works by using a pheromone to attract male moths to a grease-based droplet, where they come into contact with a lethal dose of the insecticide.
Benefits:
Targeted Control: Specifically targets male moths, reducing mating success and breaking the reproductive cycle.
Integrated Pest Management (IPM) Compatible: Compatible with conventional sprays, offering a tool for resistance management.
Low Residue Risk: When applied correctly, there is little to no risk of contamination to fruit, as it is applied to plant branches.
Extended Persistence: Lasts 4–6 weeks in the field, providing a cost-effective alternative to frequent conventional sprays.
High Efficiency: One tube is designed to treat one hectare by dispensing approximately 3,000 targeted droplets
