Cosmycin 10% Injection is a broad-spectrum veterinary antibiotic containing 100 mg/mL of oxytetracycline hydrochloride. It is used in farm and domestic animals to treat bacterial infections of the respiratory, gastrointestinal, and urogenital tracts, as well as secondary infections

Uses and Indications
- Treats respiratory infections like pneumonia and shipping fever.
- Controls gastrointestinal infections and enteritis.
- Manages urogenital tract infections and navel-ill.

Administration and Dosage
- Administered via deep intramuscular or slow intravenous injection in large animals, or subcutaneous/intramuscular routes in small animals.
- General dosage guidelines typically range from 3 mg to 10 mg per kg of body weight daily, depending on the specific animal species and severity of the infection.
Withdrawal Periods and Precautions
- Meat withdrawal is required for a designated period (commonly several days to weeks depending on local regulatory guidelines) prior to slaughter.
- Milk from treated lactating animals must be discarded during treatment and for a short window afterward.
