Cosdexa 0.2% Injection

Cosdexa 0.2% Injection is a veterinary corticosteroid solution containing 2 mg of dexamethasone per mL. It treats inflammation, allergies, and stress in animals like cattle, horses, pigs, goats, sheep, dogs, and cats.

Uses and Indications:

• Inflammation and Allergies: Treats arthritis, tendinitis, dermatitis, and allergic reactions.
• Stress and Shock: Helps animals recover from transport stress, heat exhaustion, or acute shock.
• Metabolic Disorders: Used to treat primary ketosis (acetonemia) in cattle.
• Reproductive Support: Induces parturition in cattle when required

Administration and Safety

• Routes: Given via intramuscular or slow intravenous injection (and sometimes locally into joints). 
• Contraindications: Do not use in animals with diabetes, severe kidney disease, Cushing's syndrome, or during the late stages of pregnancy (unless inducing parturition). 
• Withdrawal Periods: Meat and milk harvested from treated livestock must wait a specified number of days (typically 7–14 days for meat, 3 days for milk) before consumption
