BRONIPRA ND/IBD is an inactivated, oil-emulsion vaccine used in layers and breeding poultry. It protects flocks and their offspring against Infectious Bronchitis (IB), Newcastle Disease (ND), and Infectious Bursal Disease (IBD/Gumboro). It is commonly used to build high, lasting maternal immunity for the first days of life.
Dosage & Administration
- Standard Dose: 0.5ml per bird.
- Route: Administered via intramuscular (IM) or subcutaneous (SC) injection.
- Timing: Usually administered as a booster to actively immunize birds before the egg-laying period begins (typically 2-4 weeks prior to laying)
Benefits:
- High Maternal Immunity: By vaccinating parent flocks, you ensure that high levels of antibodies are passively transferred to the progeny, shielding chicks against subclinical Gumboro disease in their first critical days.
- No Stress Spikes: Immunization is achieved through a single vaccination, preventing production drops that would otherwise be caused by live field viruses.
- Long-Lasting: The inclusion of strong adjuvants in the injectable emulsion provides broad, long-lasting immunity for the flock.
