Twigamexyl is a post-emergence grass herbicide With high efficacy on most Of the important grass weeds including Wild oats (Avena) and black-grass (Alopecurus).others are annual grass weeds like love grass (Setaria spp.), Wild finger millet (Eleusine indica), Guinea grass (Panicum maximum). ryegrass (Lolium spp.) etc. in wheat.

TWIGAMEXYL 80EC is taken up through the leaves of annual grasses. Active growth of susceptible grasses ceases within 48 hours after application. Symptoms are observed within one to three weeks depending on environmental conditions and species involved. Decay Of nodes and growing points are visible, with young leaves showing chlorosis followed by necrosis. The safener selectively prevents phytotoxic effects in wheat by considerably accelerating the metabolism. Controls most of the important grass weed species in Wheat, rye, and triticale.

Directions for Use

Timing :- Application of TWIGAMEXYLS 8OEC must be made post-emergence to the cereals and grass weeds i.e., any time after the wheat has reached the 3-leaf stage. Best results are obtained by applying when the majority of the grass weeds have emerged and are actively growing. e.g. under warm moist conditions.
TWIGAMEXYL has no residual activity and therefore grass weeds emerging after the application will not be controlled. Do not apply if rainfall is expected within 2 hours after application.

Environment and Wildlife

Toxic to fish and aquatic invertebrates. Do not contaminate water supplies by the disposal of product waste. Keep livestock out of treated areas.

Compatibility: 

TWIGAMEXYL 80EC is compatible with most commonly used pesticides. However, DO NOT tank mix with any product unless your own prior testing has shown that the combination is physically compatible, effective and non-injurious under your conditions.
