Spencer 260 OD is a selective post-emergence herbicide for the control of broad-leaved weeds in Maize and annual grasses.
Active ingredients:
- Mesotrione 40g/ L + Nicosulfuron 20g/L + Atrazine 200 g/L
Spencer 260 OD contains:
• Atrazine from Chlorotriazine chemical group; absorbed mainly by the roots and it functions by inhibiting photosynthesis.
• Nicosulfuron from Sulfonylurea chemical group; rapidly absorbed by the foliage and roots and it inhibits cell division and growth of the target weeds.
• Mesotrione from Triketone chemical group; mainly absorbed by the foliage and roots and it functions by inhibiting essential enzymes in the the target weeds
MODE OF ACTION:
Spencer 260 OD has a unique blend of three effective active ingredients from different herbicide groups for enhanced efficacy against weeds. Spencer 260 OD is taken up by the plant through the shoots and leaves of weed seedlings resulting to disruption of various plant bio-processes.
ADVANTAGES:
• Has three active ingredients, for enhanced efficacy against notorious weeds in maize
• Broad spectrum herbicide; effective against wide range of weeds, both annual grasses and broadleaf weeds • Long lasting weed management in maize fields.
• Excellent crop safety; Spencer 260 OD is selective, it only kill weeds and does not affect the maize crop.
• Flexibility in application timing; can be applied up to and including 8th leaf stage in maize
• Cost effective (compared to hand weeding) due to high efficacy at low rates of application; only 2.5 Litres Spencer 260 OD per hectare (1
MIXING INSTRUCTIONS: Half-fill the spray tank with water. Add the required amount of Spencer 260 OD, then fill the water to the required level and mix or agitate thoroughly to uniformity. Ensure the spray mixture is used the same day it is prepared.
DIRECTION FOR USE:
| Crop | Rate of application ML/20L of water | Rate of application Litres /Ha | Susceptible weeds | Timing and frequency of application |
