Leva-100 is a synthetic anthelmintic injection for livestock, containing 100 mg of active Levamisole per ml.It is used to treat and control gastrointestinal and lungworm infections in cattle, sheep, goats, and swine. It acts as a paralytic agent on worms, which are then expelled, often in a single dose. Levamisole causes an increase of the axial muscle tone, followed by paralysis of the worms.

Indications
Prophylaxis and treatment of gastrointestinal and lungworm infections like:
Cattle, calves, sheep and goats:
Bunostomum spp., Chabertia spp., Cooperia spp., Dictyocaulus spp., Haemonchus spp., Nematodirus spp., Ostertagia spp., Protostrongylus spp. and Trichostrongylus spp.
Swine:
Ascaris suum, Hyostrongylus rubidus, Metastrongylus elongatus, Oesophagostomum spp. and Trichuris suis.
Contraindications
Administration to animals with an impaired hepatic function. Concurrent administration of pyrantel, morantel or organophosphates.
Side Effects
Overdoses can cause colic, coughing, excessive salivation, excitation, hyperpnoea, lachrymation, spasms, sweating and vomiting.
Dosage
For intramuscular administration. General: 1 ml per 20 kg body weight.
Withdrawal Times
- For meat:
Cattle and calves: 14 days.
Sheep and goats: 18 days.
Swine: 28 days.
- For milk: 4 days.
