Last Call FCM consists of false codling moth (Thaumatotibia leucotreta) pheromone and permethrin insecticide in a grease type formulation. This product is intended for use in agricultural crops as a control measure for the false codling moth.
Male-X is a combination of an insecticide with a synthetic insect pheromone in a patented UV-resistant carrier that attracts and neutralizes the male False-codling moth (FCM).
Each droplet is equivalent to a female attractant coupled with a contact insecticide.
This product distinguishes itself by its unique mode of action compared to conventional traps, which consists of overcoming the female population with a large number of droplets and competing with them in the field to effectively reduce the moths population.
Active Ingredients: Permethrin insecticide and false codling moth pheromone: (Z)-8-dodecenyl acetate, (E)-8-dodecenyl acetate and (E)-7-dodecenyl acetate
MODE OF ACTION
Permethrin is a non-systemic insecticide with contact and stomach action.
PRODUCT INFORMATION
• Last Call™ F.C.M. is effective against False Codling Moth males (Thaumatotibia leucotreta).
• Last Call™ F.C.M. is an attract-and-kill formulation containing an attractant and insecticide. False codling moth males are attracted to the droplet containing the species-specific sex pheromone and is exposed to a lethal dose of insecticide when it comes into contact with the droplet.
• Last Call™ F.C.M. is a targeted chemical application and will have minimal impact on non-target
pests such as bees and biological control agents. The way in which Last Call F.C.M. is applied, reduces the amount of insecticide needed per hectare to control the pest and application causes no spray drift.
• Last Call™ F.C.M. is non-phytotoxic to crops when applied according to label recommendations.
• Last Call™ F.C.M. is not applied to the edible part of the crop, and will not leave residues if applied according to label recommendations.
• There is no re-entry interval with the use of Last Call™ F.C.M.
DIRECTIONS FOR USE
- The product is applied by hand using a dispenser that is pre-calibrated to deliver 50 microliter drops. Depending on the pest pressure, apply between 2000 and 4000 drops per hectare, resulting in a dosage rate of 100 to 200 grams Last Call™ F.C.M. per hectare.
- The disposable dispenser consists of the trigger device and the cartridge containing the ready-touse Last Call™ F.C.M. formulation. Prepare the dispenser using the following steps:
o Connect the trigger mechanism and the product containing cylinder. Push the two partstogether to break the seal. The two parts are now permanently coupled
o With the thumb, push the plunger until a drop of grease appears at the tip of the nozzle. The applicator is now ready to use
o One drop of 50 microliters will be dispensed for each squeeze of the trigger.
o Place droplets ONLY on the inner framework of the tree.
o Apply droplets in the top 1/3rd of the tree to ensure maximum biological activity.
o Distribute droplets evenly throughout the inner tree canopy.
APPLICATION RATES
• For optimal results, the product must be applied at the beginning of the first generation of false
codling moth or at first observation. Last Call™ F.C.M. only targets adult false codling moth males,
reducing the number of mating events and thus the number of eggs in the next generation.
Consequently, a lag phase can be expected from the time of application to a reduction in the pest
pressure.
• For false codling moth control at the end of the citrus season, Last Call™ F.C.M. must be applied 16 to 20 weeks before the harvest date of the orchard.
• The number of drops per hectare is determined by the population pressure of false codling moth.
Apply according to the guidelines below.
• Re-apply Last Call™ F.C.M. within 28 days after the last application with a maximum of fiveapplications per season.
• Do not apply Last Call™ F.C.M. to flowers or fruit and avoid contamination of fruit.
• The drops should have a spherical shape for optimal biological activity.
