Intermectin Super

Intermectin Super contains Ivermectin 10mg and Closulon 100mg per ml. Used in treatment of round worms, lungworms, liver flukes, warbles eye worms, sucking lice and mange mites.

Ivermectin belongs to the group of avermectins and acts against roundworms and parasites.
Clorsulon is a sulphonamide which acts primarily against adult and immature liver flukes.

Composition

• Contains per ml: Ivermectin 10 mg, Clorsulon 100 mg

Indications

Treatment of gastrointestinal roundworms (adults and fourth-stage larvae), lungworms (adults and fourth-stage larvae), liver fluke (Fasciola hepatica and F. gigantica; adult stages), eye worms, warbles (parasitic stages), sucking lice and mange mites (scabies) in beef cattle and non-lactating dairy cattle.

Contraindications

Administration to lactating animals and pregnant heifers within 60 days of calving. This product is not for intravenous or intramuscular use.

Side Effects

When ivermectin comes in contact with soil, it readily and tightly binds to the soil and becomes inactive over time.
Free ivermectin may adversely affect fish and some water born organisms on which they feed.

Precautions:
Do not permit water runoff from feedlots to enter lakes, streams or ponds.
Do not contaminate water by direct application or the improper disposal of drug containers.
Dispose of containers in an approved landfill or by incineration.

Dosage

For subcutaneous administration. General: 1 ml per 50 kg body weight.

Withdrawal Times

- For meat: 35 days. 

• Not for use in non-lactating dairy cows, including pregnant heifers within 60 days of calving. 
• Not for use in lactating animals producing milk for human consumption.
