DeSal is a biocatalyst product that utilizes chelating agents and organic acids to improve soil structure, increase cation exchange capacity (CEC), and mobilize and flush out excess sodium ions.
Its formulation encourages the replacement of sodium with beneficial calcium and magnesium ions, which helps to restructure compacted or sodic soils, improving water infiltration and nutrient uptake.
DeSal can be used as a preventative or corrective treatment and is typically applied through irrigation systems or sprayed directly onto turf areas.
It is particularly effective in regions with saline irrigation water or during drought conditions where salt accumulation is more likely. Consistent use can lead to increased root mass, improved color and density, and reduced signs of salt stress, such as tip burn and patchiness.
Features:
- Dramatically reduces levels of sodium and total salt in rootzones.
- Helps pass out of the rootzone sodium and complete salts.
- It releases calcium, which is important for efficient transport of water and nutrients.
- Helps to fix calcium, potassium, iron, magnesium, manganese, phosphorus and zinc nutrient shortages.
BENEFITS:
Reduces Sodium Toxicity: DeSal displaces harmful sodium and chlorides in the rootzone, helping to move them out and restoring soil balance.
Improves Nutrient Availability: It releases calcium, which is vital for nutrient and water transport, while also helping to correct deficiencies in potassium, iron, magnesium, manganese, phosphorus, and zinc.
Enhances Soil Structure & Water Uptake: By reducing sodium and increasing calcium, it improves soil structure, leading to better water infiltration and nutrient uptake, reducing stress symptoms like tip burn and patchiness.
Non-Corrosive and Sustainable: Unlike traditional gypsum-based treatments or synthetic alternatives, DeSal is non-corrosive to equipment and environmentally friendly, working synergistically with soil biology.
Boosts Turf Performance: Consistent use increases root mass, turf density, and overall color.
Versatile Application: It can be used as both a preventative and a corrective treatment, applied directly onto turf or through irrigation systems.
Application Rate:
Rate: 24 oz. per acre (0.5 oz./1000 ft²).
Frequency: Every 21 days.
Application Method: Can be applied via irrigation (fertigation). Follow with irrigation to move the product from leaf surfaces into the soil. A flushing irrigation within 24 hours is recommended to wash salts below the root zone.
Tank Mixing: For better results, tank mix with a wetting agent
