Vectocid EC is a highly effective, broad-spectrum acaricide and insecticide containing 50 g/L of Deltamethrin.
This emulsifiable concentrate (EC) targets ticks, tsetse flies, nuisance flies, mange mites, and lice in cattle, sheep, goats, pigs, and camels.It is recommended for the managemt of Ticks and Flies through dipping and spraying.
Benefits:
Broad-Spectrum Parasite Control: Effectively knocks down ticks, tsetse flies, lice, and mange mites in a single application.
Disease Prevention: By controlling vectors like tsetse flies and ticks, it significantly reduces the incidence of devastating livestock diseases such as East Coast Fever (ECF) and trypanosomosis (nagana).
Long Residual Action: The active ingredient (deltamethrin) remains active on the animal's coat for up to 3-4 weeks, killing parasites that come into contact with the treated livestock.
Safe & Environmentally Friendly: It has very low toxicity for mammals and the surrounding environment when diluted and used as recommended.
Applications:
- Standard Spray: Mix 20ml of Vectocid with 20 Liters of clean water.
- General Livestock Ratio: 1ml of Vectocid to 1 Liter of water
Spraying (Knapsack Sprayer)
- Thoroughly mix the concentrate in your knapsack sprayer with the appropriate volume of water.
- Ensure the animal is thoroughly soaked, focusing on tick predilection sites such as under the belly, in between legs (groin), around the ears, base of the tail, and under the tail.
Dipping (Plunge Dipping)
- For large herds, prepare the dipping vat by mixing the solution as per the manufacturer's specific vat instructions.
- Ensure cattle are completely submerged to cover all areas of the skin.
Precautions:
- Do not apply to tired or thirsty animals.
- Avoid spraying or dipping animals during the extreme heat of the day.
- It is highly toxic to fish and aquatic life.
- Safety Gear: Always wear protective clothing (gloves, masks, and boots) while mixing and spraying.
- Toxicity: Deltamethrin is highly toxic to aquatic life. Do not dispose of wash water or rinse containers near streams or water sources.
